Puerto Viejo is located on the South Caribbean coast and 200 km away from the capital San José. From here the trip takes approximately 4 hours by car or bus, passing through Guápiles, Siquierres and Limón. Direct buses travel five times a day, from the Terminal Atlantico Norte in downtown San José.
